About the villa:
Built in 2003, Villa Malvina is a modern well equipped home set within a fenced plot of 10,000 Sq Meters. The Villa is a 5 minute drive away from the local village of La Romana, where you can find Shops, Bars and Restaurants. La Romana is a typically Spanish village, where the locals are incredibly friendly and the atmosphere is just about as relaxed as it can get.
If you want more in the way of bright lights and excitement, Benidorm is a 50 minute drive away to the North and Torrevieja is about 40 minutes to the South.
There are a variety of beautiful sandy beaches you can visit, the closest being about a 25 minute drive at La Marina.
About the area (The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region):
The Costa Blanca region is well known for its mild climate & enjoys sunshine in excess of 320 days per year. The sun is at its hottest during the summer months, with temperatures rarely falling below 30°C (86°F). Winters are typically very mild with averages hovering around 18°C (64°F).
The area is steeped in history on "The Moors & Christians era" that backdates to the 14th century.
There are some fantastic monuments and churches, vineyards as far as the eye can see and Bodegas to taste and purchase the local wine. (From as little as a euro a bottle) The surrounding mountains are beautiful to look at and climb for the more energetic. Cycling is a favourite sport around the area and there is also horse riding and quad biking available not too far away.
Golf – Alenda Golf is the nearest golf course at approx 20 mins away. It is an 18 hole course with a gentle, undulating and varied round.
Alicante Golf has a flat 18 hole course, not particularly strenuous and you can see the green on all of the holes. Click here For a list of local golf courses.
Elche, the palm tree capital of Spain, is a lovely town full of character and history, with beautiful parks and fountains. It offers many cultural and pleasurable activities. Elche is also a major producer of shoes, so if you want something a little different, that’s the place to buy them.
